I just installed the Beta 2.
Now I have an error I can’t recover from.
The data file is bla bla bla and it’s checking to fix it, however, it just keeps looping back to the restart and now my Outlook is dead…rofl. Not good!
Indeed, not good. You have a backup of your PST file right?
Or… are you running Exchange?
You could try to recreate the profile after backing up your PST.
I have it installed without issue, and the performance / stability is 100 times better.
Nick,
I’m not running exchange. I have no idea where Outlook is even installed after searching through my system.
I had this problem once before but I was able to somehow manage to avert disaster.
Part of the problem is our internal email server which I HATE HATE HATE!!! ROFL.
We have numerous IMAPS and aliases which cause havoc with Outlook….always have.
Do a search for *.pst on your PC. Get that backed up first, before you do anything.
Then, you can create a new profile and try to import your PST to a new one. May work….
Nick,
Not sure what you mean….delete or rename the old one then let it build a new one?
Just did a search for *.pst and can’t find it anyways.
I tell you what… contact me offline, I’ll try to get this sorted for you
Sorted now
For everyone elses benefit it was just a matter of unhiding the files, copying the PST’s out, then recreating the profile.
Nick is Da Man!
