Teams Panels now need a paid licence

Today some sites upgraded their Yealink Panels from Firmware 147.15.0.7 to 147.15.0.36 and immediately logged out with this message. “Your current license is not supported on this device.”

It seems that Microsoft announced this change in a convoluted way. (In other words hiding the fact that it now needs a paid license and that Teams Rooms Basic doesn’t cut it anymore).

To fix this problem, you now need to add the new Microsoft Teams Shared Devices licence. No problem if you buy direct, but if you use a CSP, they have not added it yet. But its apparently coming!

Hi Nick. We’ve just set up Yealink MTRs in our new office with room panels. I ran a blanket firmware update on all of the Yealink kit inc the room panels and now experiencing the same issue you describe. I can’t find a downgrade rom to revert the firmware back to 147.15.0.7 that was on the devices out the box. Do you know how to downgrade?
