GFI Webmonitor 4 – The part they don't promote well if you are upgrading from version 3….

Just take note people….   if you upgrade GFI Webmonitor 3 to version 4, you loose the ability to scan for adult sites without the “optional” 300 odd euro upgrade.

Suffice to say, my clients are not too happy and GFI don’t seem to give a monkey.   GFI are getting greedier month by month.   GFI Webmonitor 3 Software Assurance customers should recieve the UnifiedProtection Edition!

EDIT 06-09-2007:  It seems that feedback like above is reaching the powers at be in GFI.   They are looking into providing some “basic” content filtering in V4.

This move by GFI is bordering on the ridiculous. I have upgraded to Version 4 to find out I am losing one of the key features of the software, i.e, the blocking of adult sites. I’ve no option at this stage to go back to the dated looking version 3 software until I can find a company who can give me the latest software with basic stuff such as the blocking of adult sites built in without r*ping me like GFI are doing.

Can anyone recommend an alternative web monitoring package?
