Help Steve achieve his calm place…

Sometimes I do feel for the Flight Simulator developers on their new endeavour to spend more time in the community.

There is nothing worse than working hard on a product and seeing negative comments on forums about that product, especially when the “bigger picture” is not understood by the poster.    Steve has a post about once such comment that humoured me.

Steve, as I told you at the summit…   The more time you and the team spend in the community, the more people will understand and help you get to that happy and calm place.   The community simply needs to understand and yours and others posts are working….  I promise 😉

Oh, and by the way…    I wanted a Pelican.

Well, I guess it’s part of the business. That being said, there are a those of us who do appreciate the time and effort that the team has spent on the FS series, and also appreciate the effort to engage the community. I’ve almost given up going to the FSX forums because of the prevalent negativity and the pack-like mentality of the naysayers, quick to jump on anyone who dares to say that they’re liking what they see. All of this criticism, by the way, based off of a handful of screenshots and assumptions.

Keep the good work up guys!

I’d disagree it’s part of the business. If someone walked into a store and started ranting screaming and complaining like a 6 year old child security would swiftly kick them out. It’s a shame the forum admins don’t do the same.

It would be great to see the admins of all the major forums take a more proactive approach and ban those who do nothing but stir things up and never make a positive contribution so the rest of us can have a real discussion in peace.
