Long gone are the days of Irish Eurovision Domination….

It is a strange thing, but I have always enjoyed watching the Euro-vision song contest.   I particularly enjoy Terry Wogan’s commentary, it can be so funny…

Long gone are the days of Irish domination of the Euro-vision song contest…   Oh the memories…   Riverdance, Michael Flatley and his amazingly speedy feet and triple somersault / back-flip / twirl entrances to the stage.   (Rubs tear from eye).

In today’s age of televoting and tele-auditions, we have no chance any more with the angelic girl with a guitar, what we need is raw and rough with some heavy beat.    I received an email today as to the reason we did not make it through…   It speaks a thousand words:

Hungary

Holland

Iceland

Israel

Lithunia

And finally…     Athlone, Ireland
